NBA fines Wolves' Patrick Beverley $20,000, Bucks' George Hill $15,000 for Saturday's on-court altercation

  Minnesota Timberwolves guard Patrick Beverley and Milwaukee Bucks guard George Hill are now both a little lighter in the wallet. On Tuesday, the NBA hit both players with fines for their involvement in an on-court altercation that took place during the game between the Wolves and Bucks on Saturday night at the Target Center in Minnesota. Beverley was fined $20,000 while Hill got fined $15,000. Beverley's fine was likely larger due to the fact that he served as an instigator of sorts.  The incident took place during the first quarter of the contest when Minnesota's Taurean Prince and Milwaukee's Serge Ibaka got tied up while vying for position at the foul line. While a referee was trying to separate the two players, Beverley came over and shoved Ibaka in the back, which led to Hill shoving Beverley in retaliation. Russell Westbrook-Patrick Beverley feud: Examining guards' tense history after latest chapter

  The week before he held his nose and called Russell Westbrook "trash" during the Minnesota Timberwolves' blowout win over the Los Angeles Lakers, Patrick Beverley said that Westbrook has directly damaged his career.  On "The Old Man and the Three" podcast with JJ Redick, Beverley said that people around the NBA, coaches and players included, "looked at me differently" after Westbrook took a shot at him in November 2019.   In what is becoming an increasingly frequent occurrence, the Los Angeles Lakers were blown out on Wednesday. This time, it was the Minnesota Timberwolves dominating them in a 124-104 victory, and Lakers guard Russell Westbrook didn't take kindly to their attitude during the thrashing. The Timberwolves were seen talking quite a bit of trash to the Lakers, and while Westbrook denied that it was directed his way, he did go out of his way to remind the Timberwolves of where he perceives them in the league's pecking order.  "I honestly don't pay no mind to it. Patrick Beverley calls Russell Westbrook 'trash' after Lakers guard commits turnover against Timberwolves

  It's no secret that it has been a rough season for Russell Westbrook in his first year with the Los Angeles Lakers. He hasn't meshed well on the court with LeBron James, and it has resulted in a 29-39 record for L.A. as its only path to the playoffs now is through the play-in tournament.  On Wednesday night, as the Lakers continue to stay afloat amidst a disappointing season, they found themselves once again playing from behind, as they trailed by as many as 25 points in the first half against the Minnesota Timberwolves for the third-straight game.  With the Timberwolves up big over the Lakers, Minnesota guard Patrick Beverley took the opportunity to troll Westbrook. Zion Williamson posts Instagram video of monster between-the-legs dunk while recovering from foot injury

  Zion Williamson's status has been one of the great mysteries of the 2021-22 season. When he was initially diagnosed with a fractured foot, he was expected to be available in time for the beginning of the season. And then he wasn't. The New Orleans Pelicans offered only vague and inconsistent updates. Williamson himself never spoke. And now, with the season coming to an end, it appears as though Williamson won't be returning to the floor at all.
