Scottie Pippen Takes A Shot At The Media For Never Voting Him For DPOY: "I Think They Were Too Busy Watching Michael"

Scottie Pippen has been making headlines for a while now, especially with his relationship with Michael Jordan. The 'point-forward' created a terrific duo with Jordan in Chicago, winning six championships together, living incredible moments in Windy City.  As we all know now, Scottie wasn't so happy with the way things were handled back in the day, and Michael's treatment of his teammates. Pippen has taken many shots at his former partner in crime and he's shown no remorse for that. The relationship with MJ is ruined now, and Scottie isn't changing his speech about Jordan.  During a new interview, where he talked about his book and the things he lived during his time in Chicago, Pippen took a shot at the media for never voting for him as the DPOY, saying that they were too busy watching Mike instead of paying attention to Pippen's defensive efforts.  “I think they were too busy watching Michael,” Pippen said, via Brad Sullivan of Ahn Fire Digital. Stephen Curry Says He Never Wants To Come Off The Bench Again: “That Was A Good Run. At Least I Got That On The Resume. But Hopefully, Never Again. ”

Stephen Curry was absolutely sensational for the Golden State Warriors in their first-round series against the Denver Nuggets.  Curry played incredible basketball to help the Warriors defeat the Nuggets in 5 games. What's even more astonishing is that Curry was able to play at such a high level despite not starting games, coming off the bench, and playing with a minutes restriction due to an injury he is recovering from. But it appears that 'Sixth Man Steph' is now over. During a post-game interview, Stephen Curry was asked by the reporter whether this would be the end of his tenure as the Warriors' 6th man and he would start games again.  Curry noted that it was a good run coming off the bench, and he is glad to have had that experience, but he hopes that he never has to come off the bench for the rest of his career (1:49 onwards). “That was a good run. At least I got that on the resume. But hopefully, never again.” Curry spoke during the series about coming off the

Dennis Rodman Once Said He, Michael Jordan, And Scottie Pippen Could Lock Up LeBron James: "LeBron Is So Easy To Play. He’s So F**king Easy To Play. He Doesn’t Have Any Moves."

If there is something that will never end it is the comparison between players from different eras. Even in that niche, most comparisons revolve around the legendary players from the Chicago Bulls. Yes, we are talking about the likes of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman. A perfect example of that was seen by fans back in a 2019 interview featuring Dennis Rodman. The Worm was asked about his thoughts on guarding none other than LeBron James. Rodman replied: (starts at 6:06) "You know who could lock up LeBron? Me, Mike, and Scottie could. F*ck yeah. I would have locked his a** up. LeBron is so easy to play. He’s so f*cking easy to play, he don’t have any moves. Only move he has is streak down the line. He ain’t got no moves. Where he going?? Where is he going that’s quick? That’ll be sh*t, you can stop that. Scottie Pippen would have shut his f*cking a** down quick before I get to him. His game is too simple, he’s just big. I’m 260 and 6’8” and 6’9”, that’s the onl

Shaquille O'Neal Reveals He Would Welcome A Season Of "Winning Time" About Him And Kobe Bryant: "Let's Do It."

Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant were one of the greatest duos to ever play the game of basketball. They three-peated together, and there's no question that their partnership with the Los Angeles Lakers was a perfect pairing in terms of basketball. The Los Angeles Lakers have been heavily mentioned in popular culture recently due to the show "Winning Time", which is currently available for streaming on the HBO Max platform. The show talks about the rise of the Showtime Lakers but is regarded as a dramatization of events. There have been many who have criticized the show, including Jerry West, who threatened to involve the Supreme Court over his portrayal in the show. “The series made us all [the Lakers] look like cartoon characters,” West told Dwyre. “They belittled something good. If I have to, I will take this all the way to the Supreme Court.” Shaquille O'Neal was recently interviewed by Rory Carroll of Reuters. One of the topics that came up was the show. O&

Kobe Bryant Was In Awe Of Wilt Chamberlain Averaging 50 Points And 25 Rebounds: "It Was A Different Game, Still 50 Points And 25 Rebounds Are 50 Points And 25 Rebounds"

Kobe Bryant was one of the most prolific players of all time during his prime in the league, very few players managed to put up the sort of numbers he did. Kobe carried the Lakers on his back as a scorer in the latter half of his career, managing to win two championships as the main offensive threat. This is a man that once scored 81 points in a single NBA game, so when he talked about truly dominant players, he had quite a bit of credibility. And there is one player that has records that even Kobe couldn't come close to despite his obvious qualities. Wilt Chamberlain has some of the most incredible records in NBA history, having scored 100 points in a single game, and having averaged 50.7 points and 25.7 rebounds per game throughout an entire season.  Kobe was in awe of Wilt's amazing achievements, talking about it in an interview during his playing days. His respect for Chamberlain and his achievements was quite high.  Reporter: "It seems incredible now to think about

Isiah Thomas Says LeBron James And Kevin Durant Can’t Be Considered The Top Players In The NBA Anymore: “One Got Swept And One Didn’t Even Make The Play-In.”

For the first time in 15 years, both Kevin Durant and LeBron James will not be participating in the second round of the playoffs or higher. LeBron James and the Lakers had an abysmal season, as they missed the playoffs altogether. Whereas Kevin Durant and the Brooklyn Nets were absolutely dominated by the Boston Celtics in their first-round series, getting swept in 4 games and being the first team knocked out. NBA legend Isiah Thomas believes these playoffs could signal a changing of the guard and will force the NBA community to have a serious conversation about top players in the league. He noted that while LeBron James and Kevin Durant have been dominant for most of their careers, they both missed the playoffs and got swept in the first round respectively. Thomas believes a conversation about top players is overdue. "After these playoffs, we're gonna have to do some rethinking of who the top players are. We've had LeBron James & Kevin Durant in the top. One got swe

Charles Barkley Rips Into Kevin Durant, Says He Wasn't The Best Player On The Warriors: "If You Ain't Driving The Bus, Don't Walk Around Like A Champion."

On Inside the NBA Sunday night, Charles Barkley revealed his true feelings about Kevin Durant. After averaging 29.9 points during the regular season, the 12x All-Star finds himself struggling to play up to par against Boston, and the entire basketball world has been watching. For Chuck, it's not enough to just on Durant to be better. Instead, he questioned his status and value as a superstar, going so far as to claim he's a "bus rider" instead of a "bus driver." "Please don't tell me you're a great, great player and you're averaging 20. I don't think I ever played in the playoffs and averaged 20. I don't wanna bad mouth a dude but you guys always talk about Championship stuff. I try to tell y'all, all these bus riders, they don't mean nothing to me. If you ain't driving the bus, don't walk around talking about you a Champion. If you're riding the bus, I don't wanna hear it. All these guys walking around with

Kobe Bryant Wanted To Be Traded To Chicago Bulls After Shaquille O'Neal Said He And Penny Hardaway Were 'The Same': "No, We're Not."

Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal had some issues during their time together in Los Angeles. What started as a good relationship turned into a beef between two players whose chemistry on the court was unmatched.  They created an incredible duo on the Los Angeles Lakers. On the other hand, their personal relationship was never as good, as their egos and different approaches to the game didn't help their relationship, ultimately leading to the feud we all know now.  Before Shaq was traded to the Miami Heat after the 2003/04 NBA season, the Lakers had more chances to split up their star duo, but instead of dealing Shaq somewhere else, they could have shipped Kobe Bryant to the place where his idol became the greatest player of all time.  During a 2018 face-to-face conversation, Kobe revealed that he was really serious about joining the Chicago Bulls. Bryant and his family were looking for schools, places to live, and everything looked set for them after Shaquille O'Neal compare

Kevin O'Connor Claims Warriors Are The Favorites For The Title: "Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, And Jordan Poole Are The Best Offensive Trio In The NBA."

The Golden State Warriors have recently defeated the Denver Nuggets in Game 3 of their series. Though it was a close game, ultimately the Warriors prevailed due to their guard trio of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Jordan Poole. NBA analyst Kevin O'Connor has recently claimed that the Golden State Warriors are the favorite for the title once again. He stated that the Warriors' guard trio is the "best offensive trio" in the league, and added that Draymond Green is the "league's best defender", hence him picking the Warriors as the favorite. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Jordan Poole are the best offensive trio in the NBA. Draymond Green is the league’s best defender. Warriors have depth, experience. Other teams have injuries. The Death Lineup is back. Golden State is the favorite again. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and Jordan Poole are the best offensive trio in the NBA. Draymond Green is the league’s best defender. Warriors have depth, experience.

Stephen Curry On Steve Kerr’s Decision To Bench Him In Favor Of Jordan Poole: “It's About Who Is In The Closing Lineup."

The Golden State Warriors have been absolutely spectacular in the playoffs so far. The Warriors currently hold a 3-0 lead over the Denver Nuggets right now. Golden State has been able to accomplish this despite Stephen Curry not starting any of the first 3 games so far. This is because of the performances by Jordan Poole, who has only gotten better in the playoffs so far. Poole's performances have warranted a starting spot. Stephen Curry spoke about the selection dilemma facing Steve Kerr right now, as Kerr is currently bringing Curry off the bench so that he can start Jordan Poole. Curry noted that he is more focused on winning and that the important thing isn't really starting the game, but being in the closing lineup. Curry noted that him starting isn't really a concern right now, and he wants to contribute to winning basketball. Eventually Steph Curry will be back in the starting lineup. Someone — Poole, Wiggins, Looney — will have to come out.  Curry: “Hopefully I’ve

Snoop Dogg Thinks Frank Vogel Is The Cause Of Russell Westbrook's Struggles This Season: "Coach Used To Sit Him On The Bench, Take Him Out The Game. That F*** With Your Mentality..."

Russell Westbrook has had a really rough year for the Los Angeles Lakers. Despite his solid box score stats, many have blasted him this season for inconsistent performances. There were times during the season when Russell Westbrook took shots at Frank Vogel, and many people believe that Vogel wasn't the right coach to get the best out of Russell Westbrook. Recently, Snoop Dogg defended Russell Westbrook against criticism and pointed the blame at Vogel for the star's poor performances Shoutout to @SnoopDogg for defending Russell Westbrook last night on the @fullsendpodcast “He’s a killer. He’ll find himself out of it. Remember, the coach wasn’t f—— with him. Coach used to sit him on the bench, take him out the game. That f—- with your mentality too, when you’re this great, and you’ve got this coach telling you, ‘Sit down, hold on,’ then when you get in, you definitely reckless because you ain’t in a groove. Basketball is a groove thing. The coach and the player have to be on t

Tracy McGrady Reveals Who He Would've Rather Played With Between Kobe Bryant And Shaquille O'Neal: "Shaq Is The No. 1 Choice Always. It Would’ve Been Nice To Play With Kobe, But Shaq Was So Dominant…"

Tracy McGrady was one of the most dangerous offensive players during his career. McGrady was sensational, often being able to dominate opposition defenders and getting his shots with relative ease. One of the reasons McGrady wasn't able to win an NBA championship was because he didn't have the caliber of superstar teammates that he needed. And it appears he has a set choice of whom he wanted to play with. In a recent interview with Shannon Sharpe, Tracy McGrady was asked which player he would have wanted to play with while he was in the NBA. McGrady noted that he wanted to play with Shaquille O'Neal. McGrady also added that while playing with Kobe Bryant would have been fun, Shaquille O'Neal's sheer size and dominance would have worked very well with his talents and they would've been successful. Tracy McGrady on who he’d rather play with between Kobe & Shaq: “Shaq is the No. 1 choice always. It would’ve been nice to play with Kobe, but Shaq was so dominan

Russell Westbrook Sparks Speculation About His Future After He Likes Comment About Leaving The Lakers

In the aftermath of another failed experiment, it's no wonder why Russell Westbrook is ready to leave again. He was the scapegoat for a wildly disappointing season and there is no telling what will happen if he plays for them again next year. At this point, even Russell Westbrook is dropping hints of a possible departure. On Instagram, for example, he raised suspicions after liking a very questionable comment about his future. Russ liked this comment on his IG post The mutual disdain between Russ and the Lakers organization is probably the NBA's worst-kept secret. In the weeks after their final game, multiple reports have surfaced stressing just how bad things got. "Throughout the NBA, teams are also keeping an eye on how the Lakers manage the Westbrook situation (wrote The Athletic's Shams Charania). Westbrook remained a professional throughout the season, but his partnership with Vogel failed to gain traction as the season went on. In an early-season film session,

When Kobe Bryant Was Asked If He Would've Kept Shaquille O'Neal In The Middle Of Their Beef: "I Would Have. Shaq Said This Is A Business And Had To Do What's Best For Him And His Family."

Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O'Neal were a terrific tandem on the court, but things weren't as harmonious when they weren't sharing touches. Their different personalities made things hard for these two players, who started off as good teammates and ended up beefing a couple of years later, which ultimately forced the Lakers to trade Shaquille O'Neal in 2004. A lot was said about that situation and many people had something to say about it, including the main characters. Even though they couldn't see eye to eye, they knew that playing together was fun and they could do a lot of damage to the rest of the league.  Kobe was once asked if he would have tried to make things work with Shaq if he was the Lakers' general manager back then. The Black Mamba admitted he would have, but also explained that Shaq had his reasons to decide to leave the Lakers and look for a new home.  "I would have [tried to work things out]. I think everybody would have probably said the s

Michael Jordan On LeBron James: "He's An Unbelievable Player, He's One Of The Best Players In The World... I'm A Fan Of His, I Love Watching Him Play..."

Even before he made it to the NBA, LeBron James was already compared to the greatest player of all time, Michael Jordan. His Airness made a huge impact on the league, winning six championships in eight years, dominating rivals every night, and becoming one of the best two-way players in NBA history.  During his career, and even during his retirement, many players were compared to Jordan, but nobody could live up to the expectations. LeBron James was deemed 'The Chosen One' when he was a teenager, and comparisons between him and MJ never stopped coming.  They have mutual respect, and the biggest proof of that came during the 2022 All-Star Game, where MJ and Bron embraced each other in Cleveland. James would post a big pic of his first and most recent encounter with Jordan, paying respect to the man that inspired him.  Just like the Los Angeles Lakers superstar has always shown his admiration for James, Jordan has done the same before. Back in 2020, during a press conference wi

A Devin Booker injury is not what the Suns needed right now

Devin Booker looked like he was going to help the Phoenix Suns grab another victory with a huge first half, as he had 31 points at halftime and shot 12 of 18 from the field and 7 of 10 from beyond the arc. He became the only player in the last 25 seasons to have at least 30 points in a half without taking a free throw. Devin Booker beats the buzzer and casually daps up this baby 🤣 Devin Booker closes out the half with 31 points: Unfortunately for the Suns, Booker hurt himself in the third quarter while attempting a block. With their lead scorer out, the Suns began to falter and the Pelicans took advantage and outscored their opponents 34-22 to take a 90-83 lead into the fourth quarter. Booker came back to the bench before the start of the final period, but it was officially announced that he wouldn’t return to the game due to right hamstring tightness. The Suns wasted no time fighting back, though, cutting the lead to 92-90 within the first two minutes of the fourth quarter. They ev

NBA Fans React To Heat Beating Hawks Behind Jimmy Butler's 45-Point Performance: "Everybody Gangsta Till Jimmy Butler Start Hitting Threes"

Jimmy Butler put up another iconic playoff game in a Miami Heat jersey after leading his team to a 115-105 win over the Atlanta Hawks and take a 2-0 series lead in the first round of the Playoffs. While the Heat are the #1 seed in the East, many were expecting the Hawks to have more competitive games than the ones we have seen so far. Butler had 45 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 2 steals on the night, leading his team's offense from the front. Considering Butler isn't the most polished scorer, NBA fans were going crazy watching Butler play the way he was. We had seen it in the 2020 NBA Finals when he forced the Heat to a Game 5 win, but this performance was needed for people to remember how lethal Butler can be. Miami fans on Twitter were having a blast looking at how their team leader took the game into his own hands and finished it off. Jimmy Butler playoff career high: 45 PTS 5 REB 5 AST 15-25 FG 4-7 3P He joins LeBron and DWade as the only Heat players with a 45-point

Tracy McGrady Says LaMelo Ball Would Thrive In A Lakers Jersey: "He's Built For That."

LaMelo Ball has blossomed into a star in Charlotte, but is he capable of being more? In a chat with Shannon Sharpe on 'Club Shay Shay,' former NBA superstar Tracy McGrady made an interesting statement on the 1x All-Star. According to McGrady, LaMelo is in line to become the next face of basketball, provided he can get himself to Los Angeles. Sharpe: "Who's gonna be the face of the NBA in the next 10 years? I'm gonna give you Ja, Luka, Trae Young, and LaMelo Ball." McGrady: "It'll be between LaMelo Ball and Ja. If LaMelo Ball can get to La-La land, cause I think he's built for that. Like he has that personality, that moxy, like he's built for that. I think he can be that face." Of course, LaMelo is a southern California native, and he has close ties to the city of Los Angeles. He went and played for Chino Hills High School, which is roughly 40 miles from downtown L.A. It's really no wonder why he has such an L.A. feel to him, and Sha

Brunson, Kleber take charge as Doncic-less Mavs even series with Jazz

DALLAS — Jalen Brunson scored a career-high 41 points, Maxi Kleber had 25 with eight of Dallas' playoff-record 22 made 3-points and the Mavericks, without superstar Luka Doncic, evened up their first-round series with a 110-104 win over the Utah Jazz in Game Two on Monday night (Tuesday, Manila time). The Mavericks, in danger of dropping the first two games after opening the playoffs with home-court advantage for the first time since their NBA title 11 years ago, overcame a 10-point deficit after halftime. Kleber, who had made only 19 percent of his 3-point attempts since the All-Star break, was 8-of-11 from beyond the arc when the Mavs needed them the most. His 3-pointer with 4:21 put Dallas ahead to stay at 99-98, and he then added another on the next possession. Game Three is on Thursday in Utah, where Dallas has lost its last 11 games. Jalen Brunson shoots 15 for 25 for 41 points, while Spencer Dinwiddie scores 17 on 6 for 18 shooting. Brunson, the starting point guard with D

Michael Jordan On Kobe Bryant After Playing Against Him For The Last Time: “Kobe Is The Star Of The Future… If He Maintains A Certain Mental Approach, He Can Become A Great Professional Basketball Player.”

Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant were incredibly similar players. Both Jordan and Kobe were athletic shooting guards who were also gifted scorers. The two legends didn't actually play in the league at the same time for too long. And their respective peaks came at very different points in their careers. But Jordan knew just how good Kobe could be, even when he was just 20 years old. Kobe Bryant played against Michael Jordan for the last time when Jordan was a Chicago Bull in 1998. Jordan had an excellent game against Kobe, who had become an All-Star for the first time. After the game, Jordan had a lot of kind words for Kobe, noting that he could become a superstar like him because he had the talent, but needed to have the drive and focus to achieve his goals. "Kobe is the star of the future. You see similarities in his game as well as my game. If he maintains a certain mental approach, he can become a great professional basketball player." Michael Jordan taught Kobe a lot

Warriors Fans Are Hyped After Team Blows Out Nuggets: "I Don't See Anybody Beating Them In A Series."

The Golden State Warriors have won their first playoff game since 2019 today. Even though star Stephen Curry struggled, Klay Thompson and Jordan Poole managed to get a victory for the team. Jordan Poole notably scored 30 PPG in his playoff debut, shooting 69% from the field. A lot of Warriors fans were hyped after the team's performance, claiming that the Warriors are back to contending. There is no doubt that a lot of fans were excited for the team to be back in the postseason, and this game showed just how dangerous their offense can be at its peak. Game 1. WON. Hopefully, we see the Golden State Warriors make a deep playoff run. The Warriors have an elite home-court atmosphere, and that was on full display tonight. Jordan Poole has previously spoken out about how important that will be for the team, and added that the fans likely have some "stored-up energy that they're willing to get out". We already know how big home-court advantage is... some of the best fans

OG Anunoby injury update: Raptors forward out at least another two weeks with fractured finger, per report

OG Anunoby of the Toronto Raptors will be sidelined for at least the next two weeks, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski. Anunoby has missed the Raptors' four games since the All-Star break with a broken right ring finger and saw a specialist on Monday.  Anunoby is not expected to need surgery, per ESPN. On Tuesday, Toronto coach Nick Nurse told reporters that it is a "slight fracture" that should heal with rest.  "He's been playing with it for quite some time," Nurse said. "We're not even sure how long. It is getting better. The specialist thought it was nearly healed, said it will get better every day. I guess we're just waiting to determine if he's able to play on it. And they said probably within two weeks it will be fully healed, so we're just, I guess, trying to decide what route we're going to take there." In Anunoby's absence, the Raptors have been starting center Khem Birch, but they closed Tuesday's 10

LeBron James says he has 'no relationship' with Lakers legend Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

It's not a matter of if LeBron James passes Kareem Abdul-Jabbar for the No. 1 spot on the NBA's all-time scoring list, it's when. James sits just 1,326 points away from passing the Hall of Famer and Los Angeles Lakers legend, a milestone that should happen at some point this season given James is still performing at peak levels and is coming off a year in which he averaged over 30 points a night. If he averages around the same amount of points as he did a season ago for the Lakers, James could break the record somewhere in the middle of the season, assuming he stays healthy. It's a highly anticipated moment heading into the season, but in regards to LeBron's thoughts about and his relationship with Abdul-Jabbar, he didn't have much to say on the matter. Following the Lakers first preseason game Monday night, a reporter asked James what his thoughts were on the Lakers legend and if the two had any relationship, to which LeBron gave a very short answer. "No
