NBA Fans React To Trae Young's 38-Point Performance Against Cavaliers: "Best PG In The League."

Trae Young is one of the best point guards in the league today, and there is no doubt that his offensive production is off the charts. He has looked unstoppable at times this season, and he is clearly a player that can warp an entire defense. The recent matchup between the Hawks and the Cavaliers is one that many people were looking forward to, as it was a win-or-go-home play-in tournament game. The winner would end up as the 8th seed in the playoffs. The winner of that matchup was the Atlanta Hawks, and they were led by Trae Young, who put up an astounding 38-point, 9 assist performance. A lot of fans reacted to Trae Young's big night, with some stating that he is the best point guard in the league. Trae Young tonight: 38 Points 9 Assists 52% FG CLUTCH. 🥶 A lot of people generally believe that Stephen Curry is the best PG in the league currently, but Trae Young is definitely a top-tier point guard. He had amazing averages during the regular season, putting up 28.4 PPG, 3.7 RPG,...

The Atlanta Hawks continue to show up for big games during an underwhelming 2021-22 season

This season has not gone as planned for the Atlanta Hawks. After making a Cinderella run to the Eastern Conference Finals last year, they were expected to be in the mix for one of the higher seeds this season. Instead, they are 37-37 and 10th place in the East with eight games remaining in the regular season. The silver lining for them is that they have a 4.5 game lead over the 11th place Washington Wizards which practically guarantees their spot in the play-in tournament three weeks from now. If the Atlanta Hawks become a play-in team then Trae Young becomes the most dangerous man in basketball. He’s going to burn it all down. Mr. 30 & 10 #DressWarmer The order of the four teams involved in the play-in has yet to be decided as the Hawks, the Brooklyn Nets, and the Charlotte Hornets are only separated by 1.5 games. It will be interesting to see how things turn out among these teams in their scramble for the eighth seed which will give them two chances to secure one of the two...

John Collins injury update: Hawks big man sidelined indefinitely with right finger, foot injuries

John Collins has played in just four games for the Atlanta Hawks since Feb. 11, and at this point t's unclear when the big man will play in another one. Collins will be sidelined indefinitely due to a plantar fascia tear in his right foot as well as damage to his right ring finger, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.  Atlanta coach Nate McMillan said Thursday that Collins was set to get a second opinion on both his sprained right ring finger and his strained right foot, per the Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Sarah K. Spencer.  "John is just basically getting checked out," McMillan said. "He wants to get a second opinion on his foot and his finger, and we hope that we get some good news there." McMillan added that the Hawks "really don't know" whether or not Collins will be out for an extended period of time.  Collins returned to the lineup on March 4 after missing three weeks with the foot injury. In Atlanta's next game, on March...

Trae Young drops 46 points in Hawks' win over Trail Blazers, scores 93 in last 24 hours

NBA stars simply cannot stop scoring. Atlanta Hawks point guard Trae Young, was the latest to light up the scoreboard, is currently in the midst of a ridiculous hot streak that has seen him score 93 points in the last 24 hours. After putting up 47 points in a win over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday, Young poured in 46 points to lead the Hawks past the Trail Blazers on Monday. He shot 15-of-31 from the field and added six points and 12 rebounds as the Hawks extended their winning streak to three games.  While it's hard to expect back-to-back 40-point performances, perhaps we shouldn't have been too surprised given how Young played in the first meeting between the Hawks and Blazers this season. Back in early January, he put up a career-high 56 points and 14 assists against Portland. As a result, he's now the first player in NBA history to average 50 points and 10 assists against a single opponent during a season, per ESPN Stats and Info.  Now, the tanking Blazers aren't exa...

Hawks hope to improve playoff standing in key 4-game stretch

After last year's surprise run to the Eastern Conference finals, the Hawks need to quickly find their form to make a playoff return. ATLANTA (AP) — The Atlanta Hawks are aiming for a top-six spot in the NBA playoffs, knowing a repeat of their pace before the All-Star break won’t be close to good enough. One year after advancing to the Eastern Conference finals, the Hawks feel a sense of urgency to improve their play in the final 24 games of the regular season. They visit Chicago on Thursday night to open a crucial stretch of four games against teams ahead of them in the conference playoff standings, including two against the Bulls. A rocky first half, packed with winning and losing streaks, has the Hawks (28-30) tied with Charlotte for ninth in the conference. Atlanta is perilously close to falling out of the Eastern Conference Play-In Tournament. The Hawks won their last two games before the break, including a 130-109 runaway win at Orlando on March 16. The visit to the Bulls, t...

NBA All-Star betting: Can a hot Trae Young top Cool Hand Luke in the 3-Point Contest?

Chef Curry won't be cooking in this year's 3-Point Contest but that doesn't mean we won't be served an appetizing course in the second event of Saturday night's All-Star festivities. Eight players will compete to take home a trophy with Mountain Dew's logo on it, and it feels like any one of them could win. Let's take a look at this year's competitors and their odds: All lines from BetMGM. Luke Kennard (+400) This wouldn't be Kennard's first time winning a longball competition. The former Duke sharpshooter won the McDonald's All-American 3-point contest in 2015 before he joined the Blue Devils. Kennard didn't open as the favorite on BetMGM, but an 8-for-9 performance from beyond the arc on Thursday night led to a flurry of wagers that knocked his price down to +400 and turned him into the odds-on favorite. Patty Mills (+450) Mills is shooting better than 40% from 3-point range for the first time in five seasons. He hasn't been light...

How Trae Young’s grandfather inspired his journey to the NBA

Rayford Young I, who died when Young was 10, always knew his grandson would make it to the league Trae Young was too young to have seen Julius “Dr. J” Erving play in anything other than highlights. But by the way Young’s grandfather described his favorite NBA player of all time, it felt like he had watched Dr. J dunk. One of the perks of playing in the 2022 NBA All-Star Game on Sunday for the Atlanta Hawks guard is he will get to rub elbows with Erving and other legends when the NBA 75th Anniversary Team is honored. Unfortunately for Young, his beloved grandfather did not live long enough to be there to meet Erving and see his beloved grandson play in the NBA as he projected. “Just even thinking about that makes me emotional,” said Young’s father, Rayford Young II. “He would flip. He would go crazy. He would probably start talking about how all these young dudes don’t understand what he [Erving] meant to the league coming from the ABA to the NBA. “I think my dad would have called...

Video Of How 'Fake Klay Thompson' Got Past The Warriors Security And Gets Shots On The Court

The Golden State Warriors ended up winning Game 5 of the 2022 NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics and took a 3-2 lead in the series. It feels certain that the Dubs will win this series and win their fourth NBA Championship in the last eight years. While winning the finals will mean a lot for every player on the Dubs' roster, it will certainly mean more for Klay Thompson. Klay was sidelined due to injuries over the last two seasons and made a comeback this season. Finishing off the season with a ring will certainly be the cherry on top for him. Speaking of Klay Thompson, an incident took place around a certain lookalike of the Warriors' sharpshooter. We are sure you must remember the 'Fake Klay Thompson' who got famous a few years ago. Prior to Game 5 of the series, Fake Klay snuck into the Chase Center and got shots up before the matchup began. NBA fans found this hilarious, but it seems like the Warriors organization didn't. He was handed a lifetime ban from th...

Zion Williamson posts Instagram video of monster between-the-legs dunk while recovering from foot injury

Zion Williamson's status has been one of the great mysteries of the 2021-22 season. When he was initially diagnosed with a fractured foot, he was expected to be available in time for the beginning of the season. And then he wasn't. The New Orleans Pelicans offered only vague and inconsistent updates. Williamson himself never spoke. And now, with the season coming to an end, it appears as though Williamson won't be returning to the floor at all. After missing most of his rookie year, his third season is on track to come and go without a minute of game time as well.  Where that leaves Williamson moving forward, we can't say, but for the first time in months, the Pelicans forward gave fans a morsel of optimism. On his Instagram story, he posted this video of him doing a monster between-the-legs dunk. Zion Williamson just posted this to his IG story:  (And if you’re wondering if it’s recent, he’s wearing his new Zion 2 shoe in it) As Andrew Lopez of ESPN notes, the video ...

Dennis Rodman Once Said He, Michael Jordan, And Scottie Pippen Could Lock Up LeBron James: "LeBron Is So Easy To Play. He’s So F**king Easy To Play. He Doesn’t Have Any Moves."

If there is something that will never end it is the comparison between players from different eras. Even in that niche, most comparisons revolve around the legendary players from the Chicago Bulls. Yes, we are talking about the likes of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman. A perfect example of that was seen by fans back in a 2019 interview featuring Dennis Rodman. The Worm was asked about his thoughts on guarding none other than LeBron James. Rodman replied: (starts at 6:06) "You know who could lock up LeBron? Me, Mike, and Scottie could. F*ck yeah. I would have locked his a** up. LeBron is so easy to play. He’s so f*cking easy to play, he don’t have any moves. Only move he has is streak down the line. He ain’t got no moves. Where he going?? Where is he going that’s quick? That’ll be sh*t, you can stop that. Scottie Pippen would have shut his f*cking a** down quick before I get to him. His game is too simple, he’s just big. I’m 260 and 6’8” and 6’9”, that’s the onl...
