From Deep: At long last, Nikola Jokic's Nuggets can envision getting to the top of the mountain

Jamal Murray tore his ACL on April 12, 2021. Leading up to that night, he'd been playing at an All-NBA level for two months: In a 25-game stretch, Murray averaged 24.1 points on .509/.459/.935 shooting splits, 4.2 rebounds and 5.2 assists. He was even more efficient than he was in the bubble playoffs, and his defense had improved, too. Murray only got to play with Aaron Gordon, the Denver Nuggets' big trade-deadline addition, for five games. They won them all except the one in which Murray got injured. In 110 minutes, their new starting five scored slightly more efficiently than any iteration of the Kevin Durant-era death lineup in Golden State and defended like a top-five team. Two Nikola Jokic MVP awards later, Murray is back. So is Michael Porter Jr., who signed a five-year extension about a year ago and needed back surgery nine games into the 2020-21 season. The Nuggets remember how easily everything slid into place with Gordon in the mix. Newcomer Kentavious Caldwell-Pop...

Jamal Murray injury update: Nuggets star guard's return this season is 50-50, per report

With just around a month remaining in the regular season, there is still some uncertainty regarding when, and if, star guard Jamal Murray will return to game action for the Denver Nuggets during the current campaign. Murray has been sidelined since suffering a torn ACL during a game last April, and at this point, his return remains a fifty-fifty proposition, according to Mike Singer of the Denver Post. In addition to Murray, the Nuggets have also been without Michael Porter Jr. for the vast majority of the season after he underwent back surgery.  From the Denver Post:  Nearly 11 months after tearing his left ACL, Murray is getting physically closer to returning, although no return is assured this season, league sources told The Denver Post. With a month left in the regular season, two league sources described chances of his return at 50-50 at this point. Another league source emphasized the decision on when to return lies with him. As of now, the Nuggets don't have a cu...

Nuggets optimistic Jamal Murray, Michael Porter Jr. will be back for playoffs, per report

Nikola Jokic has largely been left to carry the Denver Nuggets on his own this season, and he's done an admirable job of it. The MVP candidate has Denver tied for the No. 5 seed in the Western Conference at 36-25, but fortunately, reinforcements appear to be on the way.  Jamal Murray has been out all season after tearing his ACL in April. Michael Porter Jr. has missed most of the season due to a back injury. However, sources told The Athletic's Sam Amick that "there is a strong sense within Denver's locker room that they'll both be back in time for the playoffs. If not sooner." Porter's timeline is a bit clearer. He is set to be cleared for on-court contact within the next week, according to his agent Mark Bartelstein. From there, he would be expected to return at some point in March. Porter has not played since Nov. 6, and he struggled in the nine games he appeared in averaging a mere 9.9 points on 35.9 percent shooting. Should he return in March, he wo...

Video Of How 'Fake Klay Thompson' Got Past The Warriors Security And Gets Shots On The Court

The Golden State Warriors ended up winning Game 5 of the 2022 NBA Finals against the Boston Celtics and took a 3-2 lead in the series. It feels certain that the Dubs will win this series and win their fourth NBA Championship in the last eight years. While winning the finals will mean a lot for every player on the Dubs' roster, it will certainly mean more for Klay Thompson. Klay was sidelined due to injuries over the last two seasons and made a comeback this season. Finishing off the season with a ring will certainly be the cherry on top for him. Speaking of Klay Thompson, an incident took place around a certain lookalike of the Warriors' sharpshooter. We are sure you must remember the 'Fake Klay Thompson' who got famous a few years ago. Prior to Game 5 of the series, Fake Klay snuck into the Chase Center and got shots up before the matchup began. NBA fans found this hilarious, but it seems like the Warriors organization didn't. He was handed a lifetime ban from th...

Zion Williamson posts Instagram video of monster between-the-legs dunk while recovering from foot injury

Zion Williamson's status has been one of the great mysteries of the 2021-22 season. When he was initially diagnosed with a fractured foot, he was expected to be available in time for the beginning of the season. And then he wasn't. The New Orleans Pelicans offered only vague and inconsistent updates. Williamson himself never spoke. And now, with the season coming to an end, it appears as though Williamson won't be returning to the floor at all. After missing most of his rookie year, his third season is on track to come and go without a minute of game time as well.  Where that leaves Williamson moving forward, we can't say, but for the first time in months, the Pelicans forward gave fans a morsel of optimism. On his Instagram story, he posted this video of him doing a monster between-the-legs dunk. Zion Williamson just posted this to his IG story:  (And if you’re wondering if it’s recent, he’s wearing his new Zion 2 shoe in it) As Andrew Lopez of ESPN notes, the video ...

Dennis Rodman Once Said He, Michael Jordan, And Scottie Pippen Could Lock Up LeBron James: "LeBron Is So Easy To Play. He’s So F**king Easy To Play. He Doesn’t Have Any Moves."

If there is something that will never end it is the comparison between players from different eras. Even in that niche, most comparisons revolve around the legendary players from the Chicago Bulls. Yes, we are talking about the likes of Michael Jordan, Scottie Pippen, and Dennis Rodman. A perfect example of that was seen by fans back in a 2019 interview featuring Dennis Rodman. The Worm was asked about his thoughts on guarding none other than LeBron James. Rodman replied: (starts at 6:06) "You know who could lock up LeBron? Me, Mike, and Scottie could. F*ck yeah. I would have locked his a** up. LeBron is so easy to play. He’s so f*cking easy to play, he don’t have any moves. Only move he has is streak down the line. He ain’t got no moves. Where he going?? Where is he going that’s quick? That’ll be sh*t, you can stop that. Scottie Pippen would have shut his f*cking a** down quick before I get to him. His game is too simple, he’s just big. I’m 260 and 6’8” and 6’9”, that’s the onl...
