Julius Randle fined $50K for dustup with Suns' Cam Johnson, 'hurt' about letting Knicks down with his ejection

  New York Knicks forward Julius Randle struck an apologetic tone at shootaround Sunday morning as his team prepares to take on the Los Angeles Clippers. Randle, who was ejected from New York's tough 115-114 loss to the Phoenix Suns on Friday night, said he felt bad about letting his teammates down in a game that was certainly winnable for the Knicks. "It hurts not to win," Randle said. "I'm more upset I wasn't available for my team down the stretch. That's what hurt me more than anything. I apologize to the guys for it. It hurt I couldn't be there down the stretch." The altercation occurred with 2:30 left in the third quarter when Randle and Suns forward Cam Johnson got physical as Randle attempted to box out Johnson on a made Evan Fournier 3-point attempt. Suns' Cam Johnson buries Knicks with game-winning, 30-foot buzzer-beater to cap off career night

  Phoenix Suns forward Cameron Johnson has been playing basketball for a long time, but it's hard to imagine he's had a better night on the hardwood than he did in Friday's nationally televised 115-114 win over the New York Knick Johnson scored a career-high 38 points, 21 of which came in the fourth quarter, and banked in a game-winning, 30-foot 3-pointer as time expired, much to the delight of the raucous Footprint Center crow Knicks guard Alec Burks had a chance to put the Knicks up by three points before Johnson's heroics, but missed the second free throw. Zion Williamson posts Instagram video of monster between-the-legs dunk while recovering from foot injury

  Zion Williamson's status has been one of the great mysteries of the 2021-22 season. When he was initially diagnosed with a fractured foot, he was expected to be available in time for the beginning of the season. And then he wasn't. The New Orleans Pelicans offered only vague and inconsistent updates. Williamson himself never spoke. And now, with the season coming to an end, it appears as though Williamson won't be returning to the floor at all. After missing most of his rookie year, his third season is on track to come and go without a minute of game time as well.  Where that leaves Williamson moving forward, we can't say, but for the first time in months, the Pelicans forward gave fans a morsel of optimism.
