Jaylen Brown (ankle) leaves game vs. Hawks, and the Celtics can only hope this injury isn't serious

Jaylen Brown was able to leave the court under his own power after being attended to by Boston’s training staff but headed straight to the locker room. The Boston Celtics suffered a blow when Jaylen Brown exited Tuesday's game against the Atlanta Hawks with an ankle sprain. Brown was ruled out for the remainder of the game, but the good news is he didn't appear to have too significant a limp as he made his way to the locker room under his own power. The Celtics obviously can't be without Brown for long. Again, the injury didn't appear too serious, but even a week or so out will be tough for Boston to shoulder. The Celtics are tied with the Raptors in the loss column for the No. 6 seed as of this writing, with both teams in action and the play-in tournament on the other side. Zion Williamson's status has been one of the great mysteries of the 2021-22 season. When he was initially diagnosed with a fractured foot, he was expected to be available in time for the beginning of the season. And then he wasn't. The New Orleans Pelicans offered only vague and inconsistent updates. Williamson himself never spoke. And now, with the season coming to an end, it appears as though Williamson won't be returning to the floor at all. After missing most of his rookie year, his third season is on track to come and go without a minute of game time as well.
