James Harden’s debut date with Sixers, revealed


 

Newly acquired superstar James Harden has yet to suit up for the Philadelphia 76ers, as the veteran guard is still rehabbing a hamstring injury. Harden reportedly wasn’t expected to suit up in a Philly jersey for the first time until after the NBA All-Star break. On Friday, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski revealed the official date for Harden’s Sixers debut, via ClutchPoints.


Per Wojnarowski, James Harden’s Sixers debut is expected to come out of the All-Star break. That would mean that Harden would potentially suit up for his first game with Philly on February 25 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.


The Sixers also play on Sunday, February 27 against the New York Knicks, though both the Wolves and Knicks’ contests are scheduled to take place on the road. Harden’s debut at home will have to wait until March, when the Sixers play four of their first five games at the Wells Fargo Center.


Harden, 32, has appeared in 44 games for the Brooklyn Nets this season, posting averages of 22.5 points, 10.2 assists, 8.0 rebounds and 1.3 steals per game while shooting 41.4 percent from the field and 33.2 percent from downtown.


Harden will take the All-Star break to get himself ready for action with the Sixers, whose fans are highly anticipating his debut. They won’t have to wait much longer to see The Beard take the court.
